She knows who her real father is, and she mocks all those claiming to be her father by saying, “Every Dick and Harry claiming to be my father; that is if I have one”. It’s possible she means her father is God Almighty when she adds a praying emoji. Also, since she grew up with her mother and siblings, her father was never in the picture. EFCC, on Friday, May 31, 2019, arraigned the controversial official of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Philomina Chieshe, who claimed that the missing N36 million, JAMB proceeds in her custody, was swallowed by a snake in Makurdi, Benue State, JAMB office. Chieshe was arraigned alongside five others, namely: Samuel Umoru, Yakubu Jekada, Daniel Agbo, Priscilla Ogunsola, and Aliyu Yakubu, before Justice Peter Afen of a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Abuja. Chieshe became notorious in February 2018, after she told account auditors the snake sneaked into the office and ate N36 million cash generated from sales of e-JAMB cards. The controversial JAMB official is being prosecuted on an eight-count charge, following her refusal to furnish the management of JAMB the true information on the financial status of JAMB e-cards supplied to the Benue Zonal office between 2014 and 2016.

Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, has expressed the desire to return to his childhood club, Independiente after his contract at Etihad expires. The 30-year-old left Independiente as a youngster in 2006 to join La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid, before joining Man City five years later. “I always try [to get back to Argentina],” Aguero was quoted by Mirror UK as saying. “I know what the fans [of Independiente] want, but I have a contract with City and I try to focus on these two years I’ve got left. “Then I’ll see what I’ll do but of course, the Rojo [Independiente] is my priority.” Aguero’s current deal at Man City will expire at the end of the 2021 campaign. Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has warned proprietors of private and public schools against engaging the services of unqualified drivers. The event was in commemoration of the 2019 Children’s Day celebration with the theme: “Walk for keeping Children Safe While Driving”. Wobin who was represented by the command’s Head of operations, Mr Samuel Ochi, decried the employment of roadside drivers by heads of schools as an unhealthy practice capable of endangering their lives. He said that the command had made it mandatory for all drivers to go through training at least once in a year. The court in a decision on Thursday said the case instituted at the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court which resulted in the recognition of Mr Nwoko as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission was wrongly filed. The appellate court ruled that the matter ought to have been brought at the lower court before the expiration of 14 days from the time of the incidence that birthed the suit. It further ruled that the failure of the applicant at the lower court to file the case before the expiration of 14 days meant that the case had become statute barred and the lower court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter in the first place. “As at the time the matter was instituted at the Federal High Court, the case was statute barred. We set aside the decision of the Federal High Court and strike out the case,” The court ruled.
